    Grounding HPS discussion

first off let me say that i know that NO BODY including my self grounds there HPS lights. i simply want to know why the ballast has a 3 prong connector and the pre wired E39 sockets come with a 3 wire plug

i have emailed every ballast company that i could find that sells ballast on amazon and nobody has even responded.

Second. i searched on google and i found people say that they grounded to the hps housing but none of them where bowfisherman all pot growers in cali so next question is would grounding to the HPS housing be the same as grounding to the boat. not discussing if you should ground to boat thats been beat to death

    discuss

My ground wire is attached to the bolt that holds the housing to the angle, which is attached to the boat. My assumption that my lights are correctly grounded to my boat.
