They are super smooth, shoot like a recurve and hit like a compound ...

You really need to shoot one to understand. You can look up many threads on the inrternet with shooters explaining what they like or don't like. But shooting one is really the only way to fully understand.

Also they can be fully disasembled with only a pack of allen wrenches anywhere.

Yeah.. It's just you.. I'm here for the witty banter and all the hot chicks! Hell, I've never even been bowfishing.. But I do know how to use the search function!

what T.M said was funny but calm down man, he was just cracking a simple joke

to answer your question, you'd have to shoot one like Joe said... some people love them & others hate them... I personally like a lever limb & especially like shooting a American Eagle... I'll go out on a limb & say that the AE's are the Mercedes of Lever Limbs

Mercedes??? Do you mean the car or stripper porn star??

  15. #14
You need tounderstand that pretty much every question that could be asked about this simple sport has likely been asked, and most have answered the same question well, several times....when it gets asked again, people just get sick of answering again,so they dont,so you dont get as many, and as good in depth answers

The problem with the search box is wen u find the question asked in a thread that u are looking for, u have to read through 5 pages of useless info like half of these above, I can understand people being tired of answering the same Q's over and over but at the same time it is just plain easier to start your own thread and ask exactly What u want to know, after all there probably isn't a single question that hasn't been asked in the past,

As for me I shoot a lever limb over a compound because I am more accurate with it, it tends to naturally put the arrow where I look, I can draw it faster and snap shoot it better than I can my wave, hits hard and feels Good in my hand, u can tear them apart on the boat if need be, longer ata gets rid of the finger pinch and most have different letoff mods to customize it to your liking..

I can't imagine what above you're referring too? But here's the thing.. People come on here for various reasons, the bowfishing community isn't that big and a lot of us are friends and enjoy laughing and making fun! I love the sport but here's the thing.. If you want info from people that have been on here for a long time and that have good info.. what keeps them coming back?? The people that give that info don't get paid to do it.. And in fact get quite tired of answering the same old questions over and over.. But that's ok! Because they come here to talk bowfishing, shoot the chit, and laugh.. So don't b*tch about the bs that's in these threads because that's the only reason you get that good info you desire.. I'm not jumping your ass, but for all those that don't like it.. Just skip over it! No one makes you read every post.. Some people keep coming back just for the entertainment!! There is a wealth of knowledge here and it's awesome!! But think how boring it would be if all that was on here was bowfishing facts...

Anybody still need some wax paper??

As to the original question.. They're just a different tool.. It's totally a preference thing! Shoot one or buy one and decide for yourself.. It's like asking, reels or retriever, blonde or brunette, dodge or Chevy? They are no better than the craze if it doesn't fit you! I've got both and shoot both.. It's just a matter of what you like!

.....he hasnt answered two, three times yet.....give him time. Was just telling you.....your not going to get as many answers as ya would if ya used the search, but at any rate....carry on

Ky I didn't mean anything bad by it, it is entertaining reading it, I was just saying I can see how both parties feel about it, sometimes in text it is hard to read someone's attitude, I wasn't bashing anybody above I was just stating that to find the answer your looking for it can take several pages of reading and sifting through the friendly bs to get your answer, nothing wrong with it, just sometimes easier to ask it yourself, and without starting another thread you could never graduate from pond scum by simply reading everything lol

Lol.. I understand exactly what you're saying.. There are those that don't have much personality and can't seem to grasp this is a forum.. Not an encyclopedia!

This thread http://bow.fishingcountry.com/forums...ot-a-lever-bow is on the first page of Bowfishing Bows & Gear section,(this same section), not more than a week old. It is great all the new folks we have entering this sport, and we are more than happy to help out anyone, we just ask that people do a little more looking around on the site. Yes, everything has not been asked, but I'm willing to bet that a large percentage of what folks ask has been answered.

That's going to be your best bet man.. Where are you located? To be honest I like my Discovery 2 every bit as much as my BE2 when shooting close to the boat or bank fishing!

I was afraid you didn't have any taste in trucks!!

I think of lever bows a lot like 1911s. You either love them or hate them but if you get addicted you better be ready to bleed some green because you're gunna end up owning a few and want to customize each one. They don't kill fish any deader than a compound or recurve but they sure are shooters.

There is no pro shop that sells them in Tennessee currently (unless used). "Cookeville Outdoors" was the Last Oneida Dealer in Tennessee and they closed their doors a few years ago.
